About

français
The Technoculture, Art and Games group brings together people from many different disciplines and sectors around digital games as a way to think, talk and create together. The group is based at Concordia but includes people from other universities, as well as outside the university.

Although video games remain controversial, and largely excluded from high culture, they are now hugely influential in the broader culture. TAG aims to OPEN up the box(es) and let games into the art and research arenas, where they can serve as a lightning rod for a very broad range of cultural, social and technical questions.

WHAT is TAG:
We are the Technoculture, Art and Games research group. TAG brings together academics (and students) from a wide range of disciplines with artists and designers, programmers, and other individuals interested in the criticism, conception, design and dissemination of new and interesting game forms.
